ECOLIBRIUM BLITZ gathers together 100 of the most creative and passionate people we can pull from academic, government, art and design, faith (and no faith), business, and activist communities to assess eco and social justice challenges facing LA County. Brainstorm ingenious solutions. And develop action plans based on small, achievable bets that in aggregate might really add up to something in terms of shifting culture in a more ecologically just and socially balanced direction.

The Second Home Pavilion, by SelgasCano at the La Brea Tar Pits campus, is the location of the upcoming ECOLIBRIUM BLITZ.

In collaboration with 10 design schools throughout the County, we then follow through on plans over the coming months to prototype ideas, test them in the real world, and launch the most effective.

Then next year, we aim to do it all over again. And again. So that by the time of the Olympic Games in 2028, we’ve changed the face of Los Angeles for deep resiliency.

ECOLIBRIUM BLITZ is produced in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) Strategic Taskforce and Second Home, and premieres at the Second Home Pavilion by SelgasCano (pictured) at the La Brea Tar Pits campus in the summer of 2019.
