Sunday, May 1 at 12 PM – 6 PM in PDT

Pando Hubs are getting launched! Join us for our inaugural lauch at the Natural Ivy Foundation, a remarkable shelter for the homeless in Koreatown.

Over the first four Sundays in May, Pando Partners of various stripes will join together to:

• Solve critical water issues throughout the shelter;
• Install a grey water system to deliver water from the kitchen/utility area to the garden site;
• Plan and install a community garden in the home’s courtyard area that is nourished by the grey water;
• Conduct critical building and safety assessments.

Help us kick things off with a Hub-warming, bring-your-own-picnic event!

This Sunday’s Goal: To remove the broken-up cement and gravel to prepare the back yard for garden creation.

What we need: 8 volunteers to stay after the picnic to work. Wheel barrow. Pickup truck.

Wear: Jeans, covered shoes, hats, garden gloves.

Bring: picnic lunch, trowels, shovels, blanket to sit on.

Want to do more? Come early on Sunday, or earlier in the week, with cement-busting and cutting tools (jackhammer, etc.). Donations appreciated.

See you Sunday!
