California State University, Fullerton Presents
Bag/Get: Alleviating Food Insecurity through Software
A software solution designed to help food banks and pantries get food faster to the people who need it most.

Food insecure? There’s an app for that. Designed by three computer science and engineering students who know from the inside what it means to be in school and hungry, the application makes communication between food banks and the hundreds of food pantries they serve faster and more efficient – which makes all the difference, especially where food is vulnerable to spoilage. BAG/GET applies technological solutions in a service industry where much of the coordination between supply and demand is still done verbally and on paper. It promises to transform food bank and pantry distribution with efficiency and precision. The winner of Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Fast Pitch competition, the team hopes to continue its winning streak and secure seed funding for prototype development, application, and scale.
