Can There Be a Pando Theology?

Editor’s Note. In this fascinating discussion, two Pando thought leaders, John B. Cobb, Jr. and Ed Bacon, sat down together over Zoom to talk about Pando Theology and what it means. John Cobb is the leading philosopher and theologian alive today in the tradition of process thought. Ed Bacon is the first to have preached about Pando from the pulpit. Both sit on the Pando board of directors.

The Rev. Ed Bacon is Interim Rector at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Atlanta, and serves on the Pando Populus board of directors. A national media figure, he was the first faith leader to regularly and systematically call attention to the Pando one-tree-forest as a contemporary and inter-religious symbol of faith.

John B. Cobb, Jr. is founding chairperson of Pando Populus and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
