Welcome to Pando Days.
Throughout the course of the program, Alexi Caracotsios will be the central admin and main point of contact. His email is here: alexi@pandopopulus.com. He can assist you with any Pando Days related questions, deliverables, updates on events and seminars, and organizing consultant help.
To get started, first please review and complete the following tasks:
- Sign your Fellow Agreement and W9 form. Without these we cannot pay you.
Over the course of the semester, we will be in contact with you to schedule at least two check-ins to make sure that your project is on track.
For Fall teams, premiere events happen in December. For Spring teams, they happen in late April/early May.
Next, please review the instructors guide to re-acquaint yourself with the program, expectations, and other items. After reviewing, please orient yourself with the following resources.
RESOURCES:
- Sustainability content: Mark VanderSchaaf, who wrote the book (literally) on Southland sustainability planning is not only offering it free-of-charge to you and your students, he’s available for specialist seminars and Q&A sessions on a per request basis. Other sustainability specialists are available to share their knowledge with your team, too. Email me directly for further questions and to take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity.
- Field trips: Our water agency sponsors, Metropolitan Water District and LA County Sanitation Districts, want you and your teams to get up close and personal with the extraordinary water reclamation work that’s being done in the County – and are offering field trips, with transportation, so that you can see for yourself what’s happening and talk with specialists in the field. Again, email me with any interest or further questions.
- Pando team help: We have an A-list of entrepreneurs and creatives who can advise on your projects – from Creative Producer Lyn Goldfarb, who’ll be leading the project check-in process over the Pando Days season, to masters of narrative, presentation, project development, strategy, networking, funding, and more. To learn more, go to the consultants page on the Pando website.
