Citrus College presents
Shower of Grace
Transforming a trailer into a mobile shower station for the unhoused.
This project transforms a simple trailer into a mobile shower station to offer low-cost, life-changing opportunities to the unhoused. In a population often denied access to simple health and hygiene, it restores a basic foundation needed for wellness in a safe space of dignity and hope. The project partners with local shelters and community colleges to direct its clients to further support services aimed at getting folks off the streets. Next steps include: 1) purchasing materials to construct a second trailer; and 2) further extending its range of community resources for client referrals, including for substance abuse rehab, physical therapy, jobs, and education.
