LA Trade Tech / Architecture

LA Trade Tech / Architecture | Design by Community: A unique tool kit to catalyze community participation in the design of public space. | Goal 3: Equitable and sustainable land use and development without displacement | Goal 6: Accessible parks, beaches, recreational waters, public lands, and public spaces that create opportunities for respite, recreation, ecological discovery, and cultural activities

We are creating a unique approach to community design by offering residents living near Pico Union the opportunity to participate in creating the park. Using professional design tools adapted to the needs and interests of local residents, we are able to create a “kit of parts” – computer images and design models that can be moved around a scale version of the park. With our help residents can add a play structure, try out a food court, explore a myriad of possibilities and create the park they really want.
